Brand voice document that makes AI write like me
A voice doc built from your own posts and samples, corrected by sounds like me votes, and used by every reply, post, and video Oetzi drafts. Free.
By Max Gillespie, founder of Oetzi
A brand voice document is the written record of how you sound, and it is the only reliable way to get AI that writes like you rather than like everyone else. Oetzi builds one from your own posts and the samples you paste in, then uses it for every reply, post, and video it drafts. Building and keeping it costs nothing.
What goes into a voice doc?
Your actual writing. Oetzi reads the posts you have already published and whatever samples you hand it, then extracts the things that make your writing recognizable: how long your sentences run, whether you open with a claim or a question, the words you reach for, the ones you never use, how blunt you are willing to be, and where you stop.
That is different from a tone slider. Choosing "friendly and professional" tells a model nothing, because every company picked those two words. A voice doc holds specifics, and specifics survive the trip into a draft.
It also holds what you talk about and to whom. When Oetzi reads your site during setup it pulls out your segments, your competitors, and the questions your buyers ask, and the voice doc sits next to that, so a draft knows who is meant to be reading.
How do sounds like me votes work?
Every draft can be voted on. When something reads right, you say so. When it reads like a marketing department wrote it, you say that too. Those votes go back into the voice doc, which is why the drafts you get in week four are closer than the ones you got on day one.
This is the part most tools skip. They ask for a style prompt once and never check whether the output landed. Voting is quick, because you are already reading the draft to approve it.
Where does the voice doc get used?
Everywhere Oetzi writes. The two reply variants drafted for a conversation come from it, which is what the replies in your voice page covers. The one to three variants in a drafting run come from it, described on posts in your voice. Video scripts come from it too, so a short form video sounds like you reading rather than a narrator reading.
One document, every surface. That matters more than it sounds. If your replies sound like a person and your posts sound like a brand, buyers notice the seam, and the seam is what makes founder-led marketing stop working. Keeping one source means the voice holds whether somebody meets you in a comment section, in a feed, or in a video.
It reaches the agent surfaces too. A draft requested through the MCP server or the API is written from the same doc as a draft you ask for in the app, so handing work to an agent does not quietly change how you sound.
Is the voice doc free?
Yes. Voice is on the free list, along with edits, regenerations, the inbox, publishing, and post metrics. You pay a credit for a drafting run or a rendered video, not for the document that makes them sound like you. The pricing page has the full split.
Questions
How do I make AI write like me?
Give it your writing, not a description of your writing. Oetzi builds a voice doc from posts you already published and samples you paste in, then drafts every reply, post, and video against it. You vote on whether each draft sounds like you, and those votes update the doc, so the match improves as you use it rather than staying fixed at the first guess.
What is a brand voice document?
It is a written record of how a company or founder sounds: sentence rhythm, vocabulary, the words that are off limits, how formal to be, how to open and close. Traditionally a team writes one and nobody reads it. Here it is generated from real writing and read by the drafter every single time, which is the only way it stays true.
Can I edit the voice doc myself?
Yes, and the fastest way to correct it is to vote on drafts as you read them. Marking a draft as sounding like you, or not, feeds straight back in. If your writing changes, because you launched a new product or found a sharper way to explain it, add fresh samples and the drafts follow.
Does the voice doc cost credits?
No. Voice is free, and so are edits and regenerations. Credits are spent on producing new work, such as a listening sweep, a drafting run, or a rendered video. The document underneath that work, and every correction you make to it, costs nothing at any point.
