Oetzi vs Blotato: a posting API or a marketer that decides

Pick Blotato if you already know what you want to publish and need an agent friendly way to get it out to many platforms. Pick Oetzi if the hard part is deciding what to say, because it listens on seven platforms, scores the conversations, and drafts the post and the reply before anything is published. These two are less rivals than neighbours, and plenty of setups could use both.

What Blotato does well

Blotato solved an annoying problem. Publishing to many platforms from code means many APIs, many auth flows, and many format edge cases, and Blotato puts one interface over the lot. It ships an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and n8n, so an agent can publish without a human clicking anything. It also maintains an /ai-info page for LLM crawlers, which says the team knows who its customer is becoming. Its site covers the plans.

Publishing is the easy half

Blotato publishes what your agent hands it, and by its own description it does not listen or decide what to post. That is correct scope for a pipe. It also means everything that comes out depends on whatever is upstream.

Upstream is the whole of Oetzi. Social listening watches X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Hacker News, and Substack Notes and scores every match 0 to 100 for buying intent with the reason written out. A posting plan turns that week's threads into drafts on your cadence, in a voice built from your own writing. Oetzi also checks whether five AI engines name you when someone asks a buying question, and shows the threads those answers cited.

When it comes to publishing, Oetzi hands off to Postiz and its 30-plus platforms, which is the same layer of the stack Blotato occupies.

Both are agent-first, in different places

If you drive your marketing from Claude Code or Cursor, both meet you there. Blotato exposes an MCP for publishing. Oetzi exposes every capability through an MCP server, a REST API, a CLI, and a SKILL.md, with keys scoped for read, write, spend, and post.

The difference is what the agent gets to ask for. With Blotato your agent asks to publish a post it already composed. With Oetzi it can ask what conversations are worth answering this week, read the scored matches and the reasons, pull a drafted reply, and publish.

Can I use Blotato and Oetzi together?

In principle yes, and the split is clean. Oetzi decides what to say and drafts it, and a posting layer gets it out. Oetzi's own publishing runs through Postiz and costs nothing, so the main reason to add Blotato would be a platform Postiz does not reach, or an existing automation you would rather not rebuild. Check both platform lists first.

Does Blotato write posts?

By its own description Blotato publishes what your agent hands it and does not decide what to post, so the writing happens wherever your content comes from. Oetzi does the deciding part: it reads the week's scored conversations and the day's trend research, then drafts one to three variants of a post for you to approve.

Which one does my coding agent talk to?

Either, depending on the job. Blotato's MCP covers publishing from ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and n8n. Oetzi's MCP covers the whole workflow: sweeps, scored matches, reply drafts, post drafts, share of model checks, and the people graph. If your agent should choose the move and not just carry it out, it needs the second kind of interface.
